Mentioning Hue City, we think of the Perfume River and a charming but tranquil live of local people in such a romantic region in the central area of Vietnam. Lying on Pham Ngu Lao – Chu Van An – Vo Thi Sau connecting to Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street, Hue night street includes 122 stalls, divided into three sections: traditional handicrafts, consumer goods, and cuisine. Starting from Trang Tien Bridge, there is a large gate having the words “Pho Di Bo Nguyen Dinh Chieu”, meaning in English “Nguyen Dinh Chieu Pedestrian Street”. The two sides nearby are for parking so that local people together with foreign tourists can walk and discover the beauty and cultural feature inside. Just like its regional identity, the walking street has still kept the antique and traditional decoration and goods. If you are a foodie, you could hardly ignore those street vendors, food stalls or restaurant owners there cause the food would be much great. Looking through for the first time, it comes to our mind that it a little bit looks lite Hoi An Old Quarter, doesn’t it?

It would be a great chance especially for tourists to visit and buy some souvenirs to bring home. You will see a wide range of paintings mainly about Hue and women wearing “ao dai” – a unique symbol and traditional dress of Vietnam. There, you can watch the artisan drawing or writing letters on the painting. Just tell them what you want and they will write those amazing art words on the picture for you. Besides art, food, we mention specialty, is a good gift for your friends when traveling to Vietnam as well as Hue in particular because “Sesame candy” or “Sesame candy with peanuts” are really famous and unique there.
